CIV develops dramatic expression in the 1.º Ciclo
On the path of artistic education as well as the reinforcement of the school's role in aesthetic enjoyment, the 1º Ciclo team, in conjunction with actor/teacher João Costa, developed a project with the objective of developing skills in the field of drama. This curricular and interdisciplinary approach, called LINK'AR, aims to inspire students in areas that are fun, whilst structuring personalities, self-discovery and being assertive in relation to themselves and with others.
Through dramatic games, enveloped in the theme of "Freedom", João Costa has explored imaginary situations through the creation of mimetic objects and stories such as “o jogo do silêncio” and “ó senhor doutor tire-me lá esta dor”." These two exercises stimulate the motor skills, the ability to solve problems (observation, balance and control) and concentration, whilst creating a relationship with others.
This practice tries to develop the interaction of multiple intelligences, organise knowledge, thus helping the student to develop new knowledge and affirming their individuality within the group. This is, moreover, a methodology that develops spontaneity, creativity, attitude, flexibility and mobility in expressing ideas and feelings.
